Our core offering is a Software-as-a-Service core banking solution. It provides microfinance institutions access, via the Internet, to core banking software hosted by MicroPlanet and managed by our highly skilled team of microfinance technology specialists. Our SaaS solution allows the microfinance institution to “rent” software on an on-demand basis, thus avoiding large upfront license fees and providing flexibility to scale up as they grow. It also substantially reduces investment in hardware infrastructure and minimizes the burden on local IT staff.

| MicroPlanet also offers a stand-alone Managed Services solution for MFIs that have already purchased core banking software but who still want to take advantage of our services capabilities to ensure successful management of their information technology. This offering provides all the same advantages noted above under SaaS Services, the difference being that the MicroPlanet team would remotely manage the core banking (MIS) software hosted at the MFI’s data center. Most importantly, it allows MFIs to leave the technology management to a highly experienced team so that they can focus their energies on client services, new product development, and growth. |
